I’m a problem-solver, Army veteran, public speaker, financial-minded thought partner and strategist; a renegade of bureaucracy who has spent his post-military career:
MANAGING IMPACTFUL PROJECTS
A well-executed project is one that achieves its desired results. I invest the time up front to determine the desired results and define specific, realistic goals for projects by identifying milestones and deadlines to achieve incremental progress. During the project, I leverage the strengths of contributors in their roles, determine budget constraints and measure results against success metrics through project waypoints while identifying opportunities to expand or re-calibrate project parameters and seamlessly pivot as needed.
EXECUTING LONG TERM STRATEGY
I’ve had the privilege of leading companies at several stages of business, whether young, adolescent or mature. At young companies who just focused on getting things done, where absence of role clarity can leave accountability ambiguous, I’ve led efforts to clarify decision rights and align individual efforts with company-level objectives. At companies in adolescence, I’ve developed processes to improve information flows while eliminating redundancies and increasing accountability. At mature companies, I’ve championed process and reporting standards with clear, actionable tools to equip stakeholders with consistent, decision-relevant data necessary to allow them to focus on their core function.
IMPROVING AND SCALING PROCESSES
At early stage companies, I’ve both automated and delegated processes by documenting details during execution and defining clear, actionable steps that can be repeated by team members and leveraged combinations of tools and technology to integrate aspects of a project and reduce execution timelines.
If you’re passionate about the power of technology, creating change in the world and want to inspire others with both thought leadership and meaningful actions, I’d love to connect with you.
